CSR policy
LRC Bagagerie's commitment to sustainable development.
Delivering more efficiently but more responsibly is compatible. Today, consumers and employees are concerned about the involvement of companies in social issues. To meet these expectations, companies in the delivery sector are adopting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies. CSR is the integration of sustainable development into a company's operations. In other words, a company takes action on three issues: the environment, social issues and economic issues. In freight transport, CSR takes many forms. More eco-responsible delivery and route optimisation are good practices that are part of a more sustainable approach for the transport operator.
LRC Bagagerie and the environment
> Encouraging eco-driving
In France, 35% of greenhouse gases are emitted by the transport sector. Eco-driving reduces fuel consumptionThis will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are responsible for global warming, and reduce the risk of accidents.
> For all our partner drivers, we encourage small actions (limiting the use of air conditioning, reducing speed, switching off the engine for long stops, etc.) to reduce the environmental impact of goods transport.
> Avoid empty runs
Nearly 35% of the journeys made by a transport company's vehicles are made empty. This means that a lorry is travelling without a load. This has many consequences: lost time, reduced productivity and increased costs for the company.
> As far as possible, we pool our partnerships so that our lorries never run empty. This is especially the case when a committed player/partner recommends our solution to their regular customers.
> Improve vehicle occupancy rates
Improving vehicle occupancy rates helps to reduce the number of people on the road. By pooling transport, vehicles can be filled as full as possible, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.
> We optimise the transport of luggage by using the channel of an existing tour which generates flow in both directions of delivery.
> In the case of delivery for a group by dedicated lorry, we make every effort to find out the means of transport used by the customers who use our services and, if necessary, put them in touch with our transport partners, thus limiting the number of vehicles used.
> Optimising delivery rounds
L'tour optimisation involves finding the best possible solution for visiting all the destination points, taking into account the constraints involved (delivery times, traffic, transport capacity, etc.).
> We study the delivery routes in advance and define a logical order to save precious time and reduce operating costs.
> Regular maintenance of the vehicle fleet
Regular maintenance of the vehicle fleet offers advantages in terms of cost and safety. A well-maintained truck is more efficient, more reliable and less prone to breakdowns.
>Our main partner DHL has a clear objective of electrifying 60% of last-mile vehicles by 2030.
>For deliveries made by our own vehicles or those of our partners, we have an assiduous policy in terms of maintaining our vehicle fleet, enabling us to reduce our maintenance costs and limit downtime.
LRC Bagagerie and the social and economic challenge
The parent company, LRC Solutions, is determined to continue strengthening its social commitment by creating a working environment where employees feel supported, valued and motivated. We are committed to making a lasting positive impact on our employees by offering them development opportunities and ensuring that their professional and personal lives are balanced.
We offer all our employees up to 2 days of teleworking per week (or more if requested), enabling them to optimise their productivity and limit a major source of stress linked to delays, accidents and traffic jams, thereby reducing the company's carbon footprint.
LRC Solutions guarantees all its employees a minimum level of health cover giving them access to first-level care.
In 2022, we will be integrating a business park that complies with the latest eco-responsible construction and sustainability standards.
We share common values with our partners. Since 2015, our main carrier DHL has also been supporting refugees through corporate citizenship activities. The carrier's aim is to prepare these men and women for the demands of working life and improve their chances on the job market. As a result, 11,000 refugees have signed employment contracts with our partner since the programme began.
CSR: A final word
We are aware that our CSR policy cannot compensate 100% for the impact of our activities, which is why we owe our users complete transparency.
For example, from February 2026 we will provide an annual CO2 emissions report covering all shipments made via our partner. DHL.
We are continuing to develop innovative solutions to ensure that our actions as a responsible company continue in the long term.
