Located in the department of Vosges (88), in the heart of the region Great East, Ventron is a family downhill ski area emblematic of the Vosges mountains, with around 10 km of pistes, about ten marked trails and 8 ski lifts, supplemented by a small Nordic area of around ten kilometres.
Composed of Ventron snow front (main sector) and forest slopes that climb to the neighbouring ridges - the destination can be explored skis on, in ski lifts (when in service), by local shuttles (depending on the period) and mountain roads. Lively snow front, ski lifts, equipment hire, restaurants, bars, ski school, beginners' areas, carpet and play areas is the the beating heart of the resort, ideal for families and the « skis on »when the alpine domain is open.
Higher parts of the estate, accessible by ski lifts or chairlift : longer slopes, panoramic views of the Vosges ridges, more sporty tracks and emblematic views over the valleys of the Moselotte and Thur.
Before you reach the resort, plan your route the route is accessible all year round, but winter tyres or channels are strongly recommended during the winter period (and may be compulsory in the event of a snowstorm, depending on local regulations).
For those who prefer to travel independently, Ventron is easily accessible from the route.
Since the Lorraine (Nancy / Épinal), join Remiremont, then follow the direction Vagney / Cornimont / Ventron to the station.
Since the’Alsace (Mulhouse / Colmar), access can be gained via the Saint-Amarin valley and the Oderen pass, then Cornimont and Ventron, or via the Thann valley and Vosges passes depending on conditions. The roads offer superb panoramic views of the Vosges valleys. Le carpooling is highly recommended to reduce your carbon footprint.

In winter, find out about the traffic conditions from Vosges passes (Oderen, Bussang, etc.) and favour the main routes via the valleys (Remiremont → Cornimont → Ventron) when the weather is tricky. Remember to check the’compulsory equipment (winter tyres / chains) before leaving.
Outdoor car parks at the foot of the domaine de Ventron - Frère-Joseph, car parks in the vicinity of accommodation and village of Ventron, generally free of charge or low tariffs.
Remiremont ~35-40 min - Épinal ~1 h 10 - Nancy ~1 h 45-2 h - Mulhouse ~1 h 15-1 h 30 - Colmar ~1 h 30-1 h 45 (depending on traffic, weather and road conditions).
From charging stations are available in the valley (Cornimont, La Bresse, Remiremont...) as well as in some accommodation close to you. Payment usually by credit card or dedicated application, via QR code on site. Ask your host or the’Tourist Office to find the most convenient terminal.
Even though Ventron does not have a station directly on site, the train remains a practical solution to access the station.
TER/SNCF station connected to Épinal and Nancy, and sometimes to other cities via connecting flights. From Remiremont, climbing towards Ventron at line bus (up to Cornimont / La Bresse), seasonal shuttle (depending on the period), taxi or VTC.
Other useful stations with TER connections to Remiremont. The route then continues via the route to Ventron.
From stations, entry to Ventron is done via regional buses, seasonal shuttles, taxis/VTC or car hire, depending on your needs and arrival time.
Three major airports (and a few additional options) allow you to reach Ventron :
International airport with numerous flights France/Europe. Rent a car or private transfers to reach the Vosges mountains via Colmar / Saint-Dié or via Sélestat / Bruche valley.
Airport served by numerous airlines, useful for arrivals international and low-cost. Then access via Mulhouse - Thann - Saint-Amarin valley - Oderen pass - Cornimont - Ventron.
An interesting regional hub for the Great East. The connection is then made by motorway to Nancy / Épinal then Remiremont - Ventron.
Transfers : car hire, taxis/VTC, regional buses (via mainline stations). Some hosts or tour operators can propose solutions for organised transfer (to be checked when booking).
