When should you visit La Bresse-Hohneck?
- Winter : From December to end March / early April depending on snow conditions. The combination of altitude and artificial snow network ensures good skiability in the heart of the resort when conditions are favourable. Varied slopes on La Bresse-Hohneck, play areas (Opoualand, Waouland), night skiing on certain evenings, as well as road links to Lispach & Brabant. Skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, Nordic activities and cosy après-ski: La Bresse-Hohneck embodies the charm of the snow-covered Vosges, between fir trees and ridges.
- Summer : From June to September, There's plenty of scope for hiking, mountain biking (Bike Park de La Bresse), mountain lakes (Lispach, Blanchemer...) and ridge roads. (Route des Crêtes, Hohneck) and the villages of the Vosges mountains. The resort retains its peaceful mountain atmosphere, with nature activities (adventure park, giant zip lines, rail sledging) and a host of summer events.
How do I get to La Bresse-Hohneck?
Before reaching the resort, plan your route: the road is accessible all year round, but winter tyres or chains are strongly recommended during the winter period (and may be compulsory in the event of a snowy spell, depending on local regulations).
Getting to the resort by car
For those who prefer to travel independently, La Bresse-Hohneck is easily accessible by road.
From the Nancy / Épinal, join Remiremont, then follow the direction Vagney / La Bresse to the station.
From Alsace (Colmar / Mulhouse / Strasbourg), which can be accessed via the Munster valley and the Col de la Schlucht, then La Bresse, or via the Colmar - Saint-Dié route. The roads offer superb panoramic views of the Vosges valleys. Car-sharing is highly recommended to reduce your carbon footprint.

In winter, find out about traffic conditions on the Vosges passes (Schlucht, Hohneck, etc.) and prefer the main routes through the valleys (Remiremont → La Bresse) when the weather is tricky. Remember to check the compulsory equipment (winter tyres / chains) before setting off.
Outdoor car parks at the foot of the Domaine de La Bresse-Hohneck, There are also car parks near the accommodation and in the centre of La Bresse, which are generally free or charge a small fee. Shuttle buses or local connections (depending on the season) provide easy access to the snow front from the village.

From charging stations are available in the valley (village of La Bresse and neighbouring communes) as well as in certain car parks for accommodation or facilities close to the estate. Payment is generally by credit card or dedicated application, via QR code on site. Ask your accommodation provider or Tourist Office for details of the most convenient terminal.
Coming by train
Even though La Bresse does not have a station directly on site, the train remains a practical solution to access the station from Paris or Brussels.
Nearest TER/SNCF station, linked to Épinal and Nancy, sometimes to other towns via connections. From Remiremont, take the local bus, seasonal shuttle (depending on the season), taxi or VTC to La Bresse.
Other useful stations with TER connections to Remiremont. The journey then continues by road to La Bresse.
From the train stations, you can get to La Bresse-Hohneck by regional bus, seasonal shuttle bus, taxi/VTC or car hire, depending on your needs and time of arrival.
Major Alsatian railway station with good rail links TGV, TER and international connections, offering a convenient alternative for reaching La Bresse from the east of France or neighbouring countries.
From Remiremont TER coaches then winter buses provide a link to La Bresse and the La Bresse-Hohneck, making it easy to access the resort without a car.

International airport with numerous France/Europe flights. Car hire and private transfers are available to the Vosges mountains via Colmar/Saint-Dié or Sélestat/Bruche valley.
The airport is served by a number of airlines, making it ideal for international and low-cost arrivals. Access via Mulhouse - Colmar - Munster valley - Vosges passes or via the Alsace plain and Saint-Dié.
An interesting regional hub for the Grand Est region. There is then a motorway link to Nancy / Épinal and then Remiremont - La Bresse.
