Before reaching the resort, plan your route: the road is accessible all year round, but snow tyres or chains are strongly recommended during the winter period (and may be compulsory in the event of a snowy spell, depending on local regulations).
For those who prefer to travel independently, Les 7 Laux are easily accessible by road.
From Grenoble, Take the A41 motorway or the D523 to the Grésivaudan valley, then follow the signs for Prapoutel - Les 7 Laux (D281) for the slope Grésivaudan, or the valley of the Haut Bréda (Allevard, Pinsot, La Ferrière) then Le Pleynet - Les 7 Laux (D525A) for the slope Haut Bréda.
From Lyon or the north, access is via the A48 and then the A41 in the direction of Grenoble / Chambéry, Take the Grésivaudan valley exit before climbing up to Prapoutel or Le Pleynet. The roads offer superb panoramic views of Belledonne, Chartreuse and the valley. Car pooling is highly recommended to reduce your carbon footprint.

In winter, find out about traffic conditions on the mountain roads to Prapoutel, Pipay and Le Pleynet (snow, icy conditions, risk of occasional closures) and use the main routes through the valley when the weather is bad. Remember to check your compulsory equipment (winter tyres / chains) before setting off.
Outdoor car parks near the Prapoutel, Pipay and Le Pleynet snow fronts, as well as car parks in the vicinity of accommodation, which are generally free or subject to a small charge. Shuttle buses or local connections (depending on the season) make it easy to get from your accommodation to the start of the slopes.

Even though les 7 Laux does not have a station directly on site, the train remains a practical solution to access the station.

Regional airport served in winter by national and European flights. Car hire or private transfers are available to Grenoble and the Grésivaudan valley, before climbing to Prapoutel or Le Pleynet.
Major national and international hub. Access to Les 7 Laux via A43/A48 then A41, heading for Grenoble / Chambéry, before joining the Grésivaudan valley and the chosen access route.
International airport connected to many French and European cities. The journey then continues by car, taxi, VTC or bus to Geneva - Annemasse - Chamonix / Arve Valley and then, more typically, via the A41 via Annecy / Chambéry to the Grésivaudan Valley (routes to be checked according to conditions).
