Before reaching the station, plan your journey: the route is accessible all year round, but snow tyres or channels are strongly recommended during the winter period (and may be mandatory in the event of a snowfall, in accordance with local regulations).
For those who prefer to travel independently, Mijoux - Monts Jura is easily accessible by road.
From Geneva or the Lake Geneva region, join Gex then follow the D1005 and D936 towards the Col de la Faucille and Mijoux.
From Lyon or the south, access is via the A42/A40 to the Valserine valley (Bellegarde-sur-Valserine / Valserhône), then via the Jura roads to Mijoux. The roads offer superb panoramic views of the valleys and peaks of the Jura. Car pooling is highly recommended to reduce your carbon footprint.

In winter, find out about traffic conditions on the Jura passes (Col de la Faucille, access from the Valserine valley, etc.) and use the main routes through the valleys when the weather is bad. Remember to check your compulsory equipment (winter tyres / chains) before setting off.

Payment is generally by credit card or dedicated application, via QR code on site. Check with your accommodation provider or the Tourist Office to find the most convenient terminal.
Even though Mijoux does not have a station directly on site, the train remains a practical solution to access the station.
