For those who prefer to travel independently, Font-Romeu is easily accessible by road. From Perpignan, follow the N116 to Mont-Louis, then the D618 to Font-Romeu / Pyrénées 2000; from Toulouse, Foix → Ax-les-Thermes → Bourg-Madame (RN20) then Cerdagne. Well-maintained road offering superb views of the Cerdagne and Capcir. We encourage car-pooling to reduce your carbon footprint.

Between 1 November and 31 March, the Montagne law requires snow tyres or chains/socks in the vehicle. Access via high-altitude passes can be disrupted in winter: use the main roads (N116 / RN20) and check the conditions before setting off.
Outdoor car parks in the village and covered car parks depending on the sector (Font-Romeu, Pyrénées 2000), chargeable during the high season and free in summer. Free inter-district shuttles for easy access (Village ↔ Fronts de neige ↔ La Calme depending on the season).

The train is a good way to reach Font-Romeu if you do not have your own vehicle.
(~4 km from the centre) Nearest station on the Yellow Train (Villefranche-de-Conflent ↔ Latour-de-Carol). TER connections from Perpignan and Spain (Latour-de-Carol/La Tour de Carol - Enveitg). Then take the local bus, taxi or VTC up to the resort (≈10 min).
(~95 km) TGV/Intercités hub from Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Barcelona (via connections). Bus/TER links to the Cerdagne then road transfer to Font-Romeu.
